This book ends in a cliffhanger and I am not continuing with the series. I wasn't fully engaged in the book and found it slightly boring or predictable at times. I found myself skipping paragraphs of inner thoughts to get to dialogue between the characters while not missing any important information. The character development is lacking but that may be due to the story being a series rather than a stand alone.
The spanking and sex scenes were only okay; nothing to get worked up over.

I just read this for the second time. It's been years and man I don't know what drew me to the book and what kept me reading the series. Bella is a poorly written character that has no spine. Her motives and motivation keep changing and there is no consistency with the character. I doubt it was intentionally written that way, I think it was because the author didn't know how to write. There are no redeeming qualities about Bella and there is zero development from the beginning of the book to the end. Myers has little droplets of good ideas and hints of depth to her characters but she doesn't have the ability to develop any of them.
