Absolutely one of the best comic series I’ve ever read, every inch of it is stunningly creative and unique. I love the Papergirls with all my heart, even if I can never quite wrap my head around time travel.

Roshani Chokshi's writing is lyrical and illustrative, the world and characters she crafts have had a grip on me since the first books, and she weaponized her hold on the reader brilliantly in this installment. It was a fitting ending and tied up everything better than I could've imagined, carrying through and emphasizing the series' themes on colonization, history, and religion while effortlessly weaving in new beautiful settings. Not to even get into the genius way she writes character arcs and relationships. I was equal parts in awe and devastated at the finale.
