oh god this was perfect!!!! i'm literally crying happy tears right now writing this review bc it was so perfect!

the atmosphere, the relationships, the romance!!!!! everything felt like a comforting blanket keeping warm on a chilly autumn evening.

cliff and michelle melted me oh my god!!! oh gosh i love them!!!! they are so perfectly imperfect for each other and i loved every minute getting to read about them falling in love. there's nothing i love more than a slow burn mutual pining friends-to-lovers and this delivered everything and more! add a single dad (my actual weakness) and you got yourself a giu (me) book!

also you won't get it until you read it but their handshake bit is everything to me (cries in perpetually single)

but not only was the romance spectacular but the relationship between cliff and his daughters and michelle and the girls was so well crafted and well developed and felt like these were real people! rocket was also my favorite addition ever and i need more dog main characters bc that epilogue made me SOB!

i cried, i laughed, i screamed, i kicked my feet... this was simply just wonderful! truly if "when harry met sally" had a baby with "gilmore girls."

this is my first book from the author and it will not be my last! i'm locked in for life

thank you to Pen Pal PR for this eARC, it's out everywhere now!

short but enjoyable esp bc we saw a glimpse into a specific character's backstory, BUT i wish these short stories were full novellas like the other installments, they would hit so much harder

I AM NOT OK!!!!!!!! i am actually a puddle of a person surrounded by my own tears bc this book destroyed me and then put me back together and i just can't believe this series is over.

this was truly one of the best reading experiences i've had in such a long time! the historical setting, the fall/winter vibes, the mystery subplot and the ROMANCE was everything to me! the audiobook is the way to go my friends, kristin atherton's aris and death voices are actually to die for!!!!

i knew i would love aris and blythe after reading foxglove, but i never knew i could love them THIS much. their enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience storyline was so captivating and intriguing but it was so much more than that! they invented the red string of fate and "invisible string" by taylor swift was written about them!! there's nothing i love more than a "you were right in front of me this whole time" kind of pairing and ugh my heart is beating just for them from now on

this is the historical paranormal romance series of my dreams and i will never be the same ever again!!!! adalyn grace, ily

oh my god i love this book so much! this is my third rainbow adult romance and she's 3/3 for ruining my life (complimentary)

this was such an interesting way to tell a love story that really caught me of guard but in the best way. it really reminded me of the nora ephron big three (sleepless, mail and harry) and it warmed my nostalgic heart. i love media that's set in the 90's/early 2000s and this book was just brimming with late 90s nostalgia!

as all her books, this was so much more than just a romance! we really got to know beth, jennifer and lincoln as people and we really got to root for them and emphasize with them and love them as individual characters. I absolutely loved beth and jennifer's friendship sm and it just goes to show how incredible rainbow rowell is with drafting relationships bc she managed to make us care about this friendship that was all told through email messaging!

and lincoln!!!! oh wow i related to him so much it hurt. i love him and his big heart so much. it felt so comfortable to be in his head and it was such a cathartic journey to see where he was at the beginning of the book and where he was at the end.

PSA: beth and linclon had zero to very little interaction in this book (much like sleepless in seattle) and that will either REALLY work for you (due to mutual pining) or really NOT work for you. so go into this book with that in mind. it's more of a twist on the epistolary trope than anything, which again will either really work for you or it won't

i’ll leave you with this: the last line of this book will always be famous to me and i'll think about it for the rest of my life bc I WANT THAT KIND OF LOVE SM
