I had so much fun with this book. It was awesome to be back with these characters and learning more about them. I am intrigued to hopefully learn more about Cora in the later books.

The ending of this book was a total roller coaster and I was not prepared for it at all!!

This was an awesome first book in a fantasy series and I was absolutely hooked from the start. I loved the characters and trying to figure out everyone’s motives. I am diving into book two immediately!!!

This is one of my favorite Mariana Zapata books of all time! I loved the characters so much. I was just rooting for them the whole time. Aurora was amazing and her story really resonated me with. I loved her infectious personality and don’t even get me started on Rhodes. He’s a total dream. The first time he called her angel I wanted to cry!!!!

This was such a fun and quick read. I loved the characters and was shocked by the plot twists several times. I went into the book blind and honestly that was the way to go because I just had so much fun figuring things out as it went.

I really enjoyed this book!! I liked the premise and the characters felt unique. The cave they were in was dark and creepy and the bugs omg. I would not want to be transported to a new world 😬 I definitely want to pick up book 2!

I just love Stephen King honestly. His short stories always feel like coming home. This book was no exception.

This was an incredibly heartfelt book that explores death and rituals around death in various cultures. It really got me thinking about my own feelings on death and bodies. It was written in an open and honest way that didn’t feel too sad or heavy. I honestly think everyone should pick this book up.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 62%.
I wasn’t feeling the tension between the characters that I should have been. Also the waterfall scene killed me.

I LOVED this audiobook!!! I was taken by surprise so many times and had the ick (in a good thriller reading way) multiple times! The reveal and climax???? Omg! Soul shattering. Read this book.
