I think one of the better books I've read by this author. A good mix of light-hearted and more serious elements.
I wish it would have ended with Emma's perspective so we could have insight on how her relationship with her newfound family members was going.

I don't get it, but at this point that's just the mark of a good book.

I watched the movie many times growing up and I prefer it over the book. This was still entertaining and fun!

At times a story so frustrating, but beautifully told. Obviously super sad.

I shouldn't have read this so soon after the My Brilliant Friend series. This book is like a watered down, shorter version of the last part of the 3rd book. I wish I liked it more. I did watch the movie after and it increased my opinion of the book a lot.

It lagged in the middle for me but the ending and beginning really got it right. Jen was the star by far, which made the ending all the more powerful.
