Mariah thinks love is a weakness and longs to escape the quiet town she grew up in.. but life has other plans for her. She ends up as the next queen apparent, and before she becomes the next crowned queen must bond with 7 men known as her Armature. (But this is not a why choose folks lol). One of these men is Andrian and he’s a big morally gray, shadow daddy, grumpy pants and I promise you’ll love him!! Mariah is just a sassy badass and is officially one of my new fave FMCs. That cliffhanger though 😰 #stressed and dying to dive into the next book! Things I’m hoping for in Scourged.. more Ciana!! Cuz she is amazing and I love her 🥹 also, wouldn’t be mad if certain individuals don’t survive to see book 3 lol.

Okay, this was super cute! Brynn and Josh are roomies who don’t really know each other super well. However, one thing leads to another and they end up getting stuck in Brynne’s favorite tv show after she makes a wish on the night of her 30th bday. In order to escape this alternate universe they’ve been sucked into Brynn agrees to pretend to be Sloan and give her the HEA she deserved on the show. Obvi, things go a little awry. Brynn and Josh were super cute together and I loved (and seriously loathed) some of the side characters. I think anyone who loves or has ever loved any sort of small town tv show will love this book!

While this was indeed a cute romance, I feel like the primary focus was on the other portion of the plot regarding Faye embracing her Jewitch self and navigating the challenges that the horrible anti-Semitic group that begins terrorizing her town. As soon as they leave their hate flyers on her street, Faye gets very wine-drunk and proceeds to create a golem. She is then very hungover and runs into a man (Greg) the next morning on her bike causing him to have horrible amnesia. He appears the day after the golem creation and as she learns more about him she realizes he has quite a bit in common with the golem she created.. and is he too perfect??? And who is behind the anti-Semitic group?

While it took me awhile to get fully invested in this one I ended up thoroughly enjoying it! The sassy old lady, Nelly, was my absolute favorite character. Faye’s character growth was also phenomenal and I loved her journey to accepting herself. Learning more about the Jewish culture was also wonderful! Still boggles the mind that people can be so hateful because I know stuff like the hate crimes in this book happen in real life too and it breaks my heart.

𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝟖/𝟐𝟗/𝟐𝟒!

This is the first book in Stefanie’s new Boston Embers series. It was so cute and SO smutty! The banter was excellent and the emotional connection River and Kennedy ended up sharing was so sweet! I love the little pranks they play on each other too! Kennedy may be a boss in her professional world as the president of a baseball team, but River is most definitely the boss in the bedroom 👀🤭 A heads up though if things about 9/11 trigger you.. proceed with caution. Cannot wait for the next in this series and to read Stefanie's other series!

Kennedy and River meet after their friends get together and really do not get off on the right foot. Ten years later and they’re both attending their friend’s wedding when things take a turn. They make an arrangement in order to 𝚜𝚌𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑 𝚊𝚗 𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑, but nothing more. And feelings and sex never get mixed up so I’m sure that will go fine right?
