This book was actually really well written and super fun to read because I didn’t know much about cults and everything that goes into the language behind indoctrination, so it was super interesting. I especially liked how it was easy to read because the writing was more conversational instead of seeming like I’m just reading a boring textbook.

I recently watched Amanda Montell on a podcast where she talked about stan culture and how we see cult-like behavior in fandom spaces, and it really made me laugh because I see that shit all the time, so it made me interested to read her books. Now I’m glad I did 😌

This is the most chaotic book I have ever read in my entire life and honestly it was so chaotic that it’s fucking camp as hell.

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s 3am and this book is only 25 pages, or perhaps it’s because this book is outrageously funny with how ridiculous it is, but I’m actually gonna rate this 5⭐️ just for the goofs and gaffs.

I’ll leave you with a quote from just 1 of the 25 pages in this book:

He was determined to be delicate with the girl so as not to frighten her.
“Are you a whore?” he asked. 💀

That’s it. That’s the quote. You’re welcome.
