THESE GUYS ARE SWEET AS HELL but idk why they don’t just get together when Adachi likes Kurosawa and knows Kurosawa likes him back. And I wish there was more of the side couple in this volume too.

THIS WAS SO CUTE! The premise is really funny to me and I love the characters. Can’t wait to read more about the side couple too.

I’m having a lot of fun with this series. Komatsu and Kotou really make me laugh.
Not really sure yet what I think about Someya being introduced.

It’s really enjoyable to read a manga that’s targeted at an older audience. The characters are super funny and refreshing - it’s a funny surprise to see Komatsu using the foulest language of anyone in the group.
I’m also really liking the way that her relationship with Kotou is developing! They’re very sweet and comedic. It’s hilarious that Kotou has to use his tie to keep self-control otherwise he loses his mind around Komatsu.

Initially, I expected to love this book because medievalist academic rivals to lovers, who are also witches, set in Cambridge just ticks all my boxes. Instead, I found that the plot was completely disjointed and mind boggling. I often struggled to keep track of the characters as they seemed to move locations or switch conversation topics without any clear links. It felt completely all over the place and for most of the book, I had no clue what was happening. But somehow, the plot also managed to be completely void of any content. Nothing happened. The antagonist appears out of nowhere. There was no explanation at all about who Leona was or where Gemma had gone. Honestly, it was exhausting to read and felt like a chore.
The characters were probably the only thing I liked about this book, but even they felt like they had no solid personality at times. They both switched back and forth so often. One minute, Rory hated Teddy even when he begged her to make amends, and the next minute, it was Rory begging for Teddy to let her know him and to let bygones be bygones, all while he refused. And this continued to switch back and forth multiple times until they were suddenly in love with each other and bonking back in Cambridge.
The magic system in this book is also crazy confusing. Like Teddy is a reaper (and it never explains what exactly that is) but he can also somehow turn into a bird and actually no, he’s an empath instead of a reaper. And Teddy made a blood oath to share Kenny’s powers but even the decision behind that isn’t explained clearly - we definitely don’t get an explanation of how that somehow led to Kenny’s death.
Overall, this book had a really promising premise and a group of characters with so much potential, but it was all completely wasted, in my opinion.

This was a really funny start to the series - I love how quirky all the characters are. Can’t wait to see how the relationship between Komatsu and Kotou develops!

This was a really sweet ending to the series. I’m glad that Anzu and Yamabuki started being more open and affectionate with each other. It was also nice to see Umezawa move on and find a new love.

This was cute again but I’m starting to get tired of the love triangle and of Yamabuki acting hot and cold.

Really liked the two new characters that were introduced in this volume, but i’m not a massive fan of love triangles. I feel sad that Umezawa can’t confess his feelings to Anzu.
Yamabuki had more character depth in this volume though, and it was sweet when he tied Anzu’s hair at the end!

This was super enjoyable to read! The story is sweet and all the characters are unique and funny - I love the student council gang and their little cat. It’s also very adorable that Yamabuki is blushing away over Anzu without her realising.
