This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, most of them being negative - as the author intended.
The darker themes of this book drew me in and I was genuinely so interested in what was going to happen to the protagonist, that I forgot this book was fictional and horror... I was quite shocked and traumatized by the last chapters and will have to think about the book some more.

This book was so thrilling to read and I was on the edge of my seat right up until the end reveal.
The story was told through two timelines - one describing "the incident", the other dealing with a high-octane chase - which I usually don't like but this book somehow did it justice.
My only problem was that I couldn't stand the characters, which is praise to the author since I'm pretty sure it was intentional, and therefore I wasn't too invested in them.
Thanks to NetGalley and SourceBooks Fire for this Arc,don't drink and drive folks!

I think this book would have been great to read when I was a design student. Since I changed fields, this didn't give me any knowledge I will need to use in my job, however it still had some interesting insights into design and was certainly beautifully put together. It also managed to reignite a small passion for design in me again, which I enjoyed a lot.

To sum it up, this book was fine.
I didn't really vibe with any of the characters and just didn't like the way the mystery was conveyed. The only thing I really enjoyed was Izzys and Kass' relationship. I also really liked the ending, but the first 80% of the book dragged on way too long in my opinion.
I think the main problem is, that I expected something better. If you go into it expecting nothing, I think you might be pleasantly surprised. I, however, was disappointed.

The book was fine, just not great. I found the main character oftentimes to be insufferable so it was kinda hard to read. But the last 50 pages were great :)
Also, it had way too little romance for a romance book.

I think the premise of the book was too good and therefore I was disappointed because it didn't live up to the hype I created in my head.
It was still a good book, I just think it could've been even better.
I really liked the second quarter/half (im not sure exactly) when the pace got faster, but the entire buildup was too long for me.
