ELIZABETH ZOTT IS THAT GIRL. I’m loving the #girlboss energy this novel exerts!

This novel was set primarily in the 60’s, when women weren’t fully considered equal in jobs, wages etc. This book displays the power of a strong willed women fighting her way within the field of science while being a mom to a highly intelligent daughter.

I love the story between Calvin and Elizabeth! It was cute, different and not overpowering.

Overall, this book outlined how far feminism has sprouted and will continue to grow and also to take advantage of our own learning and growth.

This book was a treat for me! It was witty, and it kept my attention!

The story is about the lives of each individual within Indian family of 4 - parents are post divorce and the children are adults. The story is divided in chapters narrated as each person in the family. It was so vivid to me to read about each complex character - all of them have something they are dealing with, and it was so refreshing to see the story of an immigrant family dealing with issues of marriage, divorce, dating, loss, etc!

I would recommend this book to all my friends!! So different and so real!!!

I enjoyed this book! It really reminded me that death always follows life and to really make the most out of this life I have now.

I can’t imagine the emotions I would have if I got a call saying this will be my last day. But this book really envisioned peace with that thought.

Beach Read by Emily Henry was a fun read!

I was excited to dive into another book by Emily Henry after enjoying Book Lovers. I simply love how Henry generates witty dialogue between her characters and I think that’s what I loved most between January and Gus in Beach Read.

Overall, a great fast read!

OMG WHERE DO I START?!?

The characters! Nora and Charlie… wow, just WOW!

Nora’s ambition and wittiness, and Charlie’s dedication and charm make a perfect match. I simply enjoyed their playful banter throughout the book. While reading, I did not feel as if the storyline is repetitive of other rom coms.

I also admire the attention given to Nora being the older sister and how that role has impacted her life. It really struck home with me!

Overall, if you are into Rom Coms, give this one a go!

This book will always remain dear to me. As a fan of historical fiction, this was a very encapsulating read. I was intrigued by the story of what happened within Auschwitz - a little more in depth than what I had learned in school.

However, I wished the settings within the book were described a little more in detail - it was hard to envision.
