There are very few books that you come across that challenges your world view and Angela Davis’s Women, Race & Class is one of them. Chapter after chapter, she breaks down all the predispositions and assumptions of conventional capitalist world view and our understanding of how patriarchy, racism and classism works.

When you are in the minority, when you are oppressed or you simply are fighting for your or your loved one’s right to be anything and every thing, it can get very lonely. Intersectionality can be a very daunting and tiring place. On a personal note, every time I outrage and vent, it was as if I am alone and my people are shouting into the void. But Angela Davis reminds us why intersectionality is a necessity; and this fundamentality is very important. World would be a much easier place to navigate with intersectional way of thinking.
