This book made me realize I would definitely fall into a cult 😓✌️

I really liked this, read it super quickly, found the themes to be interesting, connected to the characters through trauma, really liked what it had to say about being a woman

I was very intrigued and I liked the format with the interviews dropping bits of information throughout. However, I did not like how mental illness was treated in the book, with the main character being called a “nutter” or “mad”often. Spoiler: I felt like the book almost excused the man’s pedophilic behavior & downplayed Josie’s abuse :/

I read it super quickly and it was entertaining for sure! I just wasn’t blown away & I didn’t finish the book feeling satisfied.

It was easy to read but ultimately I found it predictable & there wasnt enough depth to the characters (especially the female ones) 😙 ✌️
