'IN STEPHANIE ARCHER WE TRUST' we all say in union 📢📢

darcy and Hayden SLAYED with that friends to lovers trope 💪 they signed, sealed and delivered. eeeekkk they make me GIDDY.

it was so much fun to be back in this series, seeing all the other characters made me so happy, my Pippa & Jamie heart was elated every time they were mentioned. their wedding scene put a huge scene on my face. Jamie giving daisy treats all throughout the ceremony was the most Jamie thing ever, I love him 🫶🏼 the Rory and hazel cameos too!! the way they both meddled with Hayden and Darcy's relationship gave me life.

Hayden was exhibiting some extreme respectful king moments 👑 he is so perfect for Darcy it hurts. his patience towards her and the support he gave her to try new things after her previous relationship was great to see. Him also feeling cared for, loved and provided for by Darcy was incredibly wholesome too!! Darce was such a fun character, I loved seeing her gain confidence and finding out who she is. I loved that she has Georgia to support her in that. honestly I just love these characters so much.

that cliff hanger for book 4 made my jaw slack. i am gagging for Alexei and Georgia's bickering. also got some serious tate ward crumbs which I'm so excited for!!

thank you to stephanie archer for the ARC and ALC, as usual the audiobook was incredible so definitely oder it if you're a audiobook girlie 🎧🤍

ellie is so real for falling in love with rafael because if a man picked me the most beautiful flower he saw every day to put in my hair whilst on holiday and then proceed to come home from the holiday and plant the exact same flower plant at home so he can pick me a beautiful flower everyday only to learn that the plant needs specific living conditions so he builds a greenhouse to ensure the flower plant stays alive so he can pick my daily flower then I would simply evaporate. not to mention that he 3D prints her the flower so when she’s travelling she still gets her daily flower. he’s also a hot single billionaire dad, who rescues animals, including 6 kittens and despite having insecurities and trust issues, he works on it everyday proving to her and her son that he is the best version of himself for them. ARE YOU KIDDING?

quite literally obsessed with ellie x rafa and Nico. I loved the humor, emotion, vulnerability and trust all throughout the book. my favourite thing was definitely seeing rafa repair his bond with nico, I cried so much for that.

THE JAX CAMEO ALMOST WIPED ME CLEAN OUT. I SOBBED. i missed him so much. and i NEED lorenzo’s book immediately. it has the power to rival terms and conditions as my fav and it’s not even out yet

kai and paedyn are unmatched 👌

reckless was so much fun. this was very much a travelling plot book and i LOVED that. having a chance in scenery was great. my favourite was definitely the sanctuary of souls and the poppy field. THE POPPY FIELD IS THE REASON MY HEART BEATS.

I’m so happy that we got to see so much kai and pae together. their relationship got so much development here and that end ruined me. poor Kai 😭

the pacing was fantastic, I never got bored and I feel like so much happened to add to the plot. controversial take but I liked the Kitt chapters and I honestly can’t wait to see what with him.
though the ending did have me raising my eyebrows because WHAT????

anyway i love paexkai so freaking much and i need book 3 asap lauren!!

and calum, definitely something shady going on with him that’s for sure.

this was such a nice set up for fearless.

THE FACT THEY TRIED SO DAMN HARD TO HATE EACHOTHER BUT THEY JUST COULDNT DO IT. their communication/honesty/vulnerability really strengthened their relationship and I have no idea how they’ll cope in book 3 💔

the cave scene where she is tending to his wound and has a panic attack because of blood and kai comforting her and her haircut. SO MUCH TO PROCESS. loved that scene. and the pool scene, such a beautiful scene ahh

honestly this book was life changing. I finished it days ago and it's still at the forefront of my mind. I don't know how to begin explaining how wondrous it was. it felt like there was magic woven into the story and when I think about it, it feel like I was recounting an experience rather than a book. I felt transported to the apartment, to clem's world, I haven't felt anything like that before.

the way the story connects is remarkable, the reveals come so naturally yet so beautifully that I kept crying. id read a part where she sees him again and just cry because it was so much more than that moment. it was the build up to that moment, the feeling during and after and as the story progressed those moments have more meaning than you first comprehended.

the seven year slip is so much more than a fantastic love story, it's a story of friendship and grief, healing and hurting, learning to accept that people can change and still be them. it had so many messages and has definitely impacted the way I perceive certain things.

and the romance was just phenomenal. iwan and lemon have my heart, body and soul. their whole relationship was built on dreams and stories and small conversations. its the corridor kisses, the tattoos, teaching her how to bake and leaving a blank space in his restaurant for her art. its the fajitas and pigeons and cabs and apartments. all their little interactions coming together to create a bond so strong that he was the moon she chased.

clementines perception of her aunt was devastatingly beautiful, I just loved the way she talked about her and the impact she had! drew & fiona and Miguel and isa are the best side charters!!

the lemon flower tattoo on his heart and Lemon being his favourite colour. the way he changed his restaurant and the menu!! THE TAXI MOMENT AH. and the art gallery! finding out vera was iwans mother had me sobbing and at the end she finally knew how to paint his eyes. AND THEM DANCING IN THE APARTMENT TO THE MUSIC DOWNSTAIRS

it made me sick seeing how much he had changed between now and seven years ago because I knew it couldn't be changed or altered. I loved his regardless and the way he described it at the end, a little bit of old me and current me. James iwan Ashton I love you and your cute little tattoos.

also adored seeing how clem navigated her job change!

I don't think a book has had such a big impact on me in a long long time and at the end of the day its about finding romance in a piece of chocolate and love in a lemon pie 🍫 🍋🥧

“I loved the woman I met in apartment B4, but I think I love you a little bit more.”
I swallowed the knot in my throat. My heart felt bright and terribly loud in my ears. “You do?”
He snagged my chin, turning my face up toward his, and whispered, “I do. I love you, Lemon.”

you don't understand how much i wanted to love this. I tried but bloody hell I wanted to scream and yell. I'll eat my hat if daphne and miles don't end up in couples counselling in 5 years because they just gave struggle love.

they don't have much in common, they didn't do couple things, any time there was an opportunity to watch their relationship go from strangers/roommates to friends or lovers it was like emhen just put them on 2x speed and recapped those moments. sure there were the times they went to the beach but there could have been a lot less daphne dad angst and more romantic relationship building.

when miles first got introduced I was like 'this is him??'. this mf was ALWAYS late, it was so embarrassing and it was for the stupidest reason too. he was late for work, or an arranged hangout or to pick her up. miles, get a freaking watch and set a alarm god. he claimed he loved her but he's constantly late and leaving her waiting. there were parts when miles was joking or Daphne and miles were joking/bantering but it just fell completely flat. I understood the jokes and I get how other people can laugh and find them funny but I was just sat there like ....  😐 and I really tried to enjoy them too but instead I just felt like 'okay cool, ha'

daphne my my. she annoyed me so much. the first 60% was bearable but when her dad came in I genuinely couldn't stand her and it pains me to say that. she was whingeing and whining and the shit with ashleigh, then she got mad when miles did the same thing to her?? I will say that I enjoyed her friendship with ashleigh, I think that was really important for her character but that was about it for my love for her. 😬

I understand how and why people love this book so much, I really do and I think I would recommend it to certain people but it was a hard no for me. I felt disengaged, uninterested, bored, it felt like a chore to read, to enjoy this. I wanted a LOT more depth to their relationship, more about miles past and family, A LOT LESS miscommunication and more of the fake dating element. the whole point was that they were fake dating for their ex's wedding, all we got was a kiss and that was kinda it. could have definitely gone with an alternative plot or even a more prominent plot to advertise the book with. was this a romance book? very loosely. it more about daphne finding out who she is after a bad break up. making her own friends, repairing her relationship with her dad, showing her love for her mother, miles kinda comes into play but not really. and really off topic but I wanted the crocs to be featured a lot more :(

the fucking fudge took me out man. obviously the ending cleared that whole shitshow up a bit but what the heck. the epilogue was cute, ill give the book that. otherwise no which is a shame because I thought this could be the one after not enjoying happy place. funny story just felt a bit boring but I'm really happy for all the people who do love it, it just wasn't for me, for a host of reasons.

PERFECTION. SIX STARS

justin & emma > I loved their relationship dynamic. justin was her docking station, her safe space and a reliable and sure thing for her and emma was his heart and hope. the way they met was so funny and I loved the whole concept of dating each other to break their dating curse. AND THE LITTLE SURVEYS HE DID FOR THEIR DATES???? he's the definition of 'if he wanted to he would'. he was doing about and beyond for her

the toilet king jokes were one of my favourite things aha. and the epilogue too! the perfect proposal

seeing Justin take on that parental role to his siblings was so important for his character and I really liked that his struggles with it were quite key too!

HE LITERALLY PACKS HER LUNCH AND TAKES IT TO HER WORK AND PACKS ONE FOR HER BEST FRIEND TOO. I LOVE HIM

THE SICK TROPE IN THIS. HE LITERALLY GETS ON A UNICORN FLOATY AND PADDLES FOR AN HOUR ON THE CHOPPY WAVES AGAINST THE WIND JUST TO GET TO HER WHEN SHES SICK. AND HE CALLED BRI AND JACOB. lowkey sobbed when I saw them. and Justin getting sick after and them both just watching movies in bed together!

Maddy's friendship was so great to see, she just understood Emma and was kinda a wingman to Justin which I loved.

miss abby Jimenez knows how to pact the emotional punch and I was definitely crying at the end. seeing how they both reflected on those last 6 months made me SOB.

He put a hand to my cheek. “Sometimes I feel like the seasons could come and go and come and go, a hundred years could pass, a thousand, the ground could collapse under us, this house could crumble and go back to the earth, and we would still be standing here frozen in time, because every second I’m with you is eternal. I’ve never felt anything like it.”

6/5 stars. SCREAMING CRYING WEEPING WHIMPERING. I'm seriously rocking back and forth with tears down my face.

i've been waiting for clairexgibsie for years and this was everything I could have asked for and more. it was a boys of tommen book through and through. it had hilarious moments where I had to stop and catch my breath from laughter, it parts my made my heart swoon-y and warm, it had horrifyingly emotional parts that broke my heart. taming 7 was perfect.

gibsie's backstory made me want to be physically sick.
gibs being the one mark raped instead of lizzie's sister was shocking and the fact it went on for 4 years. I couldn't stop crying
how he's still going and putting a smile on his face is beyond me and I love him so so much.
the ONLY thing I would have wanted to be added in this book was seeing bit more about how gibsie starts to heal from this - like does he call darren?  the ending left a pretty clear divide which sets up other books so I hope that his healing journey wasn't sacrificed for that ending and that we get to see it in future books

Claire is my little sunshine girl and I adore her. I loved how fierce she was and how she stood up for gibs. she was so cute and gibsie and her put a huge grin on my face. their playfulness and cute banter was top tier, they felt like they did in previous books just with a lot more depth. AHH AND THEM BEING CAT AND HEDGEHOG PARENTS. they make me giddy.

one of my ABSOLUTE favourite things about taming 7 was Johnny and gibsie. they are no joke my ultimate friendship duo ever. words cannot express the chokehold they have on me. they have this undying loyalty, respect and love for each other, they ALWAYS have the others back, no questions asked and their vulnerable moments, my god. when Johnny found out about what happened to gibs - his reaction. the sound that came out of my mouth - UNGODLY. when gibsie recognised Johnny and that he was gibs's safe space - I screeched. WHEN JOHNNY GAVE HIM A FOREHEAD KISS WHEN THEY WERE BOTH CRYING. I THOUGHT I WAS DYING. in fact I did die. but this quote brought be back to life

"and if you think this is going to chase me off then you've another thing coming, fucker, because I'm never leaving. do ya hear me? because you're my Gibs"
"And you're my Kav'
SOMEBODY SEDATE ME

I also lovedddd seeing more Hugh and feely. my Hugh and Patrick hearts are beating.

I have seen some discourse surrounding lizzie in this book. honestly I thought the amount of lizzie and her drama was fine. do I think she was ridiculously cruel and horrible? yes. she owes the biggest apology to everyone, especially gibs. she was so far over the line so many times and honestly deserved what happened at the end. just because she's stuck at the moment her sister died, doesn't mean everyone else is and she needs to find a way to cope that's not being a bitch. I can see myself liking her in the future and I'm actually really looking forward to her book but I'm on team gibs.
the friendship group being separated honestly didn't bother me too much which is surprising. I usually hate when they aren't all together but in this context it's honestly better and the wisest decision for everyone to get their head on straight and work through their issues. so what if they don't all agree. the group dynamic has a long of tension and it’s a lot more complex that simply picking sides. There’s so much to consider and I’m really interested to see how they all sort this out. you can literally see how conflicted everyone is during that last scene, they are all going to have to talk and work through it.

the ending KILLED me. the fact he had to watch, the way he’s got no one. having adenas pov when it happened 😭 my mental stability was hanging on by a thread.

i don’t want to read a book without her, i love her so much but this novella was amazing. i can’t wait to see mak’s role in the next books and how that’s going to change the whole dynamic. it was a really sweet, soft romance and if the end didn’t happen it would have been a comfort read for me 💔

connor and rose 🥀 ♥️ I am salivating for their books. connor understands rose so much and rose is so fierce but I love seeing this softer side he brings out of her. lil and rose’s sister bond growing made my heart happy. rose really is the best sister and it was great to see Lily building that relationship with her!

ryke and daisy 💗 i was surprised how much Daisy was in this but I’m so glad for it! I’m surprised with how much i loved her as soon as I met her and i know her books will be incredible. AH AND RYKE. i love him

as for Lily, i loved her a lot in this novella. seeing her fight her addiction, not only for herself but for lo and their future just shows how much she cares about them.

obviously there’s no lo in this but i still had a great time and really enjoyed all the main characters being introduced a lot more! these characters are starting to feel like a family 💗
