individually an excellent conclusion to the trilogy, the flow is perfect off of girl in the tower, and the highs are incredibly high while the lows are incredibly low—as a series, i care so much i feel it tight in my core, i can barely talk about it, i can barely even think too hard about it—i love this so so so so much

wildly mid—skimmed entire chapters bc of my lack of investment in tess as a protagonist and callum as a love interest. octavia and joni were much better tbh and the plot was ok ig…it just all felt a bit too referential of fandom in both a semi-accurate way but also v caricature way and i don’t love that honestly

a bit much on the drama side of things, but a good introduction to the characters and very in line with the types of serial stories i find most fun! will be interesting to see where the rest of the books continue
