Impeccable! Genuinely such a comforting read despite some of the difficult topics touched upon. I would be happy to enter the world the author has created!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.
The way in which I didn’t ever grow to like this book is absurd. I thought the premise sounded so fun and cool and that the vibes would be perfect for summer. However, this book was so hard to read. The word choice was pretentious for no reason. As for the characters, I was constantly lost about who was who and could literally care less about any of them because there were way too many. Then came the scene of the sexual coercion of a minor….. the book just moved on like literally nothing had happened… I’m not even a person who is triggered by that content, but what the hell was that??

I am sure this will sound like slander to most, but this book was difficult to get through for me. It was a bit slow-paced for my liking. I know it stands for important things, and for that, I appreciate it. However, I did not really enjoy this book.

I wish I could give this book 10 stars. My best read this year by far! The story is simply so real. The emotions expressed are raw and nearly every page moved me. Please look up trigger warnings though!!

An easy 5 star. Very engaging and intense. King sometimes has such weird and uncomfortable references and language choices, but the plot is good enough to ignore that.

As dark and horrific as this section of the story was, it’s also very moving so I really liked it.
