I was a bit hesitant because I’m admittedly not the biggest fan of The Atlas Six but I have to say I liked this one more. At times the plot feels a bit too convoluted for my taste and I don’t think every romance scene needs to be presented as the most epic of moments but overall a solid read.

I have not finished a book this fast in a long time. The last twist was pretty predictable but the book is so well written that I didn’t even mind too much.

Very strong start but I wish there had been more world building - the setting feels pretty old timey but then suddenly you have cars and nightclubs, I think explaining the state of the world a bit more would’ve been nice.
The romance felt a bit fast to me but overall not too bad.
Strong aspects of the book were definitely the descriptions of sailing and the magic system.
