Love this book honestly!!

Despite being a christmas book this book openly discusses and talks about serious topics like mental health and eating disorders whilst also being funny and enjoyable

Some of the contents were very hard-hitting so be careful and make sure to look up TWs before reading but aside from that if you want a different Christmas read that doesn't only focus on 2D characters and falling in love this is it

Would definitely reccomend for someone looking for an emotional but also funny Christmas read!!

This book was amazing, the overall message was so powerful and deep and I think it's what everyone needs to here- that even if you live the life you think you want it will never be "perfect"

The reason I couldn't rate it 5 stars was because I felt the ending was so fast paced. In a matter of 3 pages Nora was back in her life, mending her relationship with Joe and then visiting Mrs elm. I just felt it went too quickly but that is probably to be expected considering the book is only 288 pages.

That being said, this book is absolutely amazing and I would recommend this to literally everyone. The message is really something that everyone should hear because it really is important

*SPOILERS*

Gonna be honest this book was a
big letdown. I went into it thinking I was going to cry but noope nothing.

The story is all about mallory who got brought up in Foster care with her "protector" rider. They got split up after a traumatising event and (now fast forward 5 years) mallorys starting public high-school and guess who she crosses paths with..... rider.

From there they fall in love but then after someone they care about dies they split up only to get back together a WHOLE 3 DAYS LATER.

The story dragged and basically went knowhere. I just didn't find it developed or was as great as it could've been :/

Saying that if you want to find out the effects trauma has on people or just generally want to learn about the Foster care system this book if for you, just be aware there is little to no plot development at all :))

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
Just didn't like it. There's no speech marks so you don't have a clue who's reading or what's going on. Was there a point to this book? No. Did it make sense to me? Absolutely not.

*WARNING: SPOILERS*

Gonna be honest this book was a real letdown. The first half was amazing and I was really expecting it to end good but unfortunately it didn't live up to this. This book is really lighthearted and was actually pretty funny so actually really enjoyed it

The end of the book was just rushed. It was like Lauren just kinda gave up at the end. I would've liked the end to be more stretched out because so much happened in such a short amount of time and that meant nothing was actually developed.
In such a short amount of time (maybe the last 30ish pages)
-Ethan broke up with Olive
-Olive told Ami about Danes behavior
-Ami and Olive fell out
-Ami and Olive forgave each other
-Olive lost her job
-Olive and Ethan got back together
I don't even think that's all of it. None if this was developed and was just speedran

Another thing that was a big letdown was the fact that there was little to none enemies to lovers. YES Olive and Ethan 'hated' each other and acted like they acted each other but as soon as they went on the honeymoon the enemies kinda left. I personally think it should've carried on until they were around halfway through the honeymoon THEN began to figure out feeling for each other.

Overall this book is really easy, lighthearted and relaxing. It's justa so Ahmed the end was a bit of a letdown but apart from that I would recommend :))

*SPOILERS*

A bit boring to be honest. Just a generic love story between the main character and the best friends brother however it was done so badly you could pretty much predict what was going to happen. No plot twists at all and it put me in the worst reading slump ever because I found it boring.
However I did enjoy the running jokes throughout about myas "secret" job. It kept me in suspense and left me wondering what it is.

Overall wouldn't recommend to people who like plot twists. It was a cute story but nothing more :))
