i honestly don’t know how to feel about this book tbh. i’m just glad to read my Nikolai again because show!Nikolai ain’t it for me 😭. the characters are amazing, sure but the plot was okay ig? and the world building went into shambles fr 💀
i can also relate to Nikolai as i am with Zoya (surprisingly) which why i hated her before 😭
the explicit descriptions of an eating disorder, bullying, racism, and literally a predatory relationship made me uncomfy af but ig that's the reality of this world. i was going to hate the end but i'm kinda glad how it concluded? wish i saw what happened to other characters though cuz i feel like there were too many secondary ones that we shouldn't have to care like i needed more of Cassie but idk. felt bad for Jayhe but alas at least June's getting better ig? hope Bette will actually be a good person this time like pls don't pull the same shit on Gigi again 😤
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

hmm ik its just very quick stories but most of these Saints died for stupid reasons 😭. Same thing in our history smh people in general were just consumed by greed and envy and i think that’s the main lesson all throughout this collection 🤔
i barely remember what happened lol honestly it got boring in the middle but picked right back up with the last few chapters but damn Bette and June are really bitches wth so I don't feel bad about what's happening to them lol. the only people i was really rooting for were my girl Gigi and Alec, even Will oml and I did love how cunning Henri is but he's still creepy.
it also took me longer than usual to finish this cuz maybe because it's contemporary? also i dance and it gave me lowkey PTSD since i went to an arts high school and was close to the dance department students so the characters remind me so much of some of them 🤡
