Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
I love Agatha, but this one just never hooked me. This is the first Agatha Christie I've ever DNF'd. I'm a bit sad about it, but who has time for boring books? I had to move on. 🤷‍♀️

Really fun story, but cast of characters felt very flat.

I don't understand the themes this book was going for. It seems all over the place and very unclear. Whatever the author was trying to do, they missed the mark. I'm left feeling confused on what I was supposed to get out of this story...

Well, shit. This was a sneaky little 5 star read, wasn't it?

I expected this to be a queer rom com. I expected it to be cheesy and cute. I did not expect to cry multiple times, and I did not expect to read 200 pages in one day because I just couldn't put the book down.

YA needs more writers like Sonora Reyes. She covers heavy and emotional topics and somehow makes it easy to binge read. I found myself relating to characters I have near nothing in common with. So well done, and such a great read. 👏

I don't super love Ruth Ware's writing, but this story was fun. About halfway through, I started to not be able to put it down. I'm a fan of a decent murder mystery. 👍
