i keep re-rating this, but i think this is my final rating. i honestly just did not like the story (not even just because it was for school) and i did not like the characters. i understand the symbolism and intent of this book which i commend it for, but i literally just did not like it and it makes me mad to think about it. the only reason why it's not a one star is because of the importance. i think you should at least read this once in your life, but you don't have to necessarily enjoy it.

beginning was just like the movie but then it steered off course.. it was actually pretty good! i want to read the next ones and i bought the whole set so i’m grateful that i liked this
