The depiction of grief in this book was spot on though, as a mom, it was tough to get through this book without feeling sick about it. I wouldn’t say this book was spectacular but Kristin Hannah’s writing is so good I have zero complaints.

The writing was meh. Main character - a total brat. I felt so bad for Jack the whole story and she was even insanely rude to her friends each conversation that was had with them. The story felt all over the place, was very hard to not dnf.
