Book of the Month by Jennifer Probst

This is an interesting spin on a plot,  fake relationship wrapped up in a breakup to be used in a story.

Brick is like the mythical creature of the OBX. The unattainable sexy <insert random profession> who can deliver unbelievable pleasure.  Who doesn't want to sign up for a big helping? Only predicament is that it is built on mostly exaggerated scenarios,  but it adds to his mystery.  Yet he agrees to the totally insane plan because he's desperate. Only the outcome is not what he planned (of course).

If you weren't screaming at your book version of choice during parts of this book,  did you enjoy it fully? Honestly,  Aspen is great at giving advice and total crap at taking it.  She was clearly miserable trying to recreate her past success,  but stubborn and determined to proceed despite the damage she left behind.

I'll be honest I put the book down several times,  it was slow at places and I never really connected with Aspen and wish Brick showed his true self to more people earlier on.

Welcome to the Davenport family stories.  We start with Archer,  whose a famous Hollywood actor.  But it's down to Earth because his family is close knit and keeps him grounded.  When an injury requires him to have in home help,  there is no one else he wants but Tessa.
He met her through a family friend and hasn't been able to get her off his mind.  Although the reason behind needing her isn't ideal, he'll take whatever time he can to break down her walls and show her he's not about the glamour.

This is the first book in the new Dalton family series.  It ends in a cliffhanger.

Girl meets boy.  Boy is a hot billionaire, perpetual bachelor, and doesn't mix business with pleasure,  until now. . She's an enigma that he can't get out of his mind.  He's the forbidden fruit offering her a chance at her dreams.  Sadly, she makes decisions based on emotions.
This is fast paced,  filled with tiny glimpses of back story and smoking hot times as well.

This was a quick read.  If you're looking for a feel good holiday book,  this will be a good fit.  When you're being pulled in too many ducting,  it might be time to plan an escape. It's about finding yourself and putting your best interests first.  Didn't really like the family dynamics, who just shows up uninvited.
