This book was emotional.
Losing a loved one is an awful experience, and this book has somehow provided comfort through that.

This book has been a saving grace for me during this time.
At times it is hard to read, but ultimately, this tackled so much of what I have been going through and made me feel less lonely.

This book provided really great nuggets I have leaned on over the past few months.

This was okay. I finished it, but I had a really difficult time staying fully invested in it.

I genuinely loved this book. Williams’ writing is witty and charming, the characters felt so real and true with complex layers. They felt like people.
I loved this take on “the one that got away” and how layered this story felt, getting to see the inner workings of Audre and Lizette was great and added such richness to storytelling.
One of my favourite reads this summer!

This was a fun fantasy-romance read, leaning in heavily on popular tropes that are often favourites (I won’t give them away), and a plot that is often predictable…like
Violet landing the best dragon and being the most powerful, Brennan being alive, Dain’s betrayal (like how did she not see that coming), “everything is not as it seems” etc., are popular fantasy tropes that I don’t mind! But lots of predictable plot points.

This book really hit the spot and I easily fell in love with Xaden and Violet, even though they infuriated me at times. I love dragons, was a big Eragon girly and big fan of The Dragon Rider prior…you get it. So this, it hit the spot.

I really enjoyed this.
Sickeningly sweet but felt so real and emotional, like I could befriend any one in this family of friends. It made my heart ache thinking about my own friends and made me reflect on my own life, on my own ideas of happiness.
It was just what I needed.
