I feel like the last few Peter Pan retellings I've read have just massively let me down. Not this one! This was everything I've been hoping for. The characters felt perfectly in character, and all the flaws of Neverland were fully present. Nothing about the way the romance progressed felt forced or unrealistic. It was just perfection.

I did see the twist coming, but it was good nonetheless. The characters were well developed and each unique from one another. A decent, easy thriller.

 Meh.

What made Butcher & Blackbird so enthralling was painstakingly missing from this book. Yes, yes, romance and all that, but I wanted more deranged, murdery action. Don't give me a glitter-obsessed "multiple deleter" and then hide her away from me!

I wanted more action, less sex. I suppose that's what I get for reading a romance.

Normally...I'm not a M/F spicy romance girly. I'm even a spicy girly at all! But I kept seeing this book everywhere and the premise just called to me and, honestly, I was NOT disappointed!

Could I have lived without the sexy scenes? Oh, for sure. But, I was totally willing to overlook them for this book. It was just *chef's kiss* beautiful. The blend of horror and romance was perfect, and I'm so eager to read more in this series and find out what's going to happen next! The horror Easter eggs were a nice little treat, as well.

Now...when do I get to read more about these two? I'm sure the other Kane brothers will be just as wonderful but...can I get more Sloane and Rowan??

drug on finishing this book. I was so hyped by the premise, truly influenced by the author, and it just fell so short for me. There's a lot of lore and world building, at times too much. I found myself having a difficult time keeping up with all of the information, trying way too hard not to tune out the audiobook.

If I had been physically reading this book, I would have DNF'd it for sure. The ending felt forced and in the end the MC was conveniently overpowered.

This story felt so much in the vein of a Wayward Children book, and I loved every second of that feeling. One of those novellas a year is simply not enough, so to feel like I found the same kind of story from the perspective of a different author was a breath of fresh air.

I was hoping for a happier ending, but I knew that was going to be too good to be true. Overall, though, the story was fantastic and creepy and heart wrenching. Just a lovely read.

I'm not even sure why this is something I thought I'd want to read?

It didn't feel like it was going anywhere. I didn't enjoy Heartstopper, so I'm not sure why I'd enjoy this. *shrug*

On the heels of Delilah Green, I can't in good conscience rate this 5 stars, but it was still a great read! It had a wonderful HEA, and I was satisfied. Although the characters were adults, it read YA, but I can forgive that since they were all BARELY adults. Overall, a cute little romance.
