I am a FanFiction girlie okay. I am apart of many fandoms, But I was not really vibing with the fan girl/fanfic aspects of the book. Also I felt like there were some loose ends. What about the mom?? What about cath’s relationship? I know having that loose end reflects the reality of a strained relationship, but I would have liked to see more. Also what about the paper? What was her grade? That was left in the wind as well. The ending of the book did not tie up the loose ends. I really liked cath and Levi’s relationship. That was my highlight of this book. Lol

3.8 Stars. To be fair I have seen season 2 about three times now and it has affected how I view the book. Idk it felt the stakes weren’t there. Maybe that was not the author’s intention as Edwina become interested in someone else, but I liked the drama, tension, and conflicted feelings that occur in the show. There was more at stake. Also, I was not expecting a bee sting to cause them to get together??? I was expecting a bigger climatic event that will get them together. Everything felt so easy for them, but I wanted drama, and a slow building of tension.

Great job to shondaland for being so great and making the book into a great show.

I really appreciate this book. This book deals with a few things I love about Star Wars. First, politics. What some may not realize, is that star wars is not only about jedi and lightsabers, but is it about democracy and (in the case of the prequel era) the maintenance and inevitable fall of the republic. I found the politics in the book, and in the universe to be very interesting. Next is Obi-wan and Anakin. I love the clone wars show, and the relationship change we see from padawan and master in attack of the clones to peers in the show was always not that clear to me. This book fills in the gap and makes Obi-wan’s line in revenge of the sith, “You were my brother Anakin! I loved you!!” all the more painful. I love their relationship and I love them.

This book was a bit slow at first and I was afraid I wasn’t going to get all into it but I found my self wanting to read more. This was my first Star Wars book, and I wouldn’t mind reading more.

Also I love obi-wan and Satine and now I want a book about them

I liked this book at the beginning. I like unrequited love stories they’re tragic, and they have the angst that I like. However, I wish the seeds of Francesca’s feelings For Michael were planted a bit earlier in the story. We were halfway to the book and nothing happened yet, and I didn’t know when anything romantic was going to happen. I also wish the romance was a bit better. If Netflix decides to renew Bridgerton this far, I know it will be better and I will be sat for it!! Lmao

4 stars. I really liked this book. I like friends to lovers and I am compelled at the progression of their love as It was great to read their banter and conversation. However, I did not like that Pen lost weight. Her losing weight and THEN having Colin fall in love with her after reinforces the narrative that plus-sized and mid-sized women are not desirable when that is SO not true.

I liked Colin and it was nice to understand him better. I think I liked him better than the other MMCs I’ve read in this series… (sorry Anthony. I’m a ride or die for TV Anthony). The same goes for Pen too. I found her relatable and it was nice to see her have her own business)

Colin was annoying tho. He became cold due to his own insecurities instead of telling his soon to be wife the issue. JUST TELL HER MAN. But I was also compelled at the end his solution to Pen’s exposed identity. It really showed her that he loved her.

This was a fine book, but I’ve read 3 of this series and I find that Julia Quinn’s books aren’t that strong compared to other romance series. I feel like they are all lacking something. (Don’t ask me what that is)

I know season 3 will be great and better than the book. So excited!!
