Given that this took 7 years to write I think it’s only acceptable that it took me 7 months. It wasn’t a fictional to me, it felt like someone’s memoir. And Cleo and Frank as well as their inner circles are two of the most unlikeable severely damaged people in text. But again so are most real people. I didn’t like them at all from the beginning, given the age gap of their relationship. That’s all. It’s like how can we all traumatize each other more instead of getting help
At least I read a book this year!

Trying to determine how much of the events in this book actually occurred as Samantha said they did is the real challenge. While i liked it I also thought it to be so word dense and awkward at some points. Hmmmm. honestly still ruminating on it.
Edit: would have loved to get more perspective on samantha and her bunny. why was he like that. what really happens when someone becomes an experiment??? see i could look it up but that would just dismantle the story telling.

This was insane. So dark. I'm literally shaking after aos. Yes, it did take a good 160 pages to get started, and yes, after it started I kept wondering why Devon and Chi could not be abstinent for the ~3.5 weeks this took place. I think it was so obvious that belle and Terrell were in on it i just think there had to be another way to depict that. And the main characters felt very oblivious to almost everything. Over all I was shaken, even when you think you know racism, you don't really know it. It goes *deep.* Can I sleep after this, no, can I trust *anyone?* no. Jamie was so scary .
; this is not dark academia or gossip girl, it is just racist

I'm so glad I stuck out this book bc bram the man that you are... but anyways. I just knew there was something so wrong about how easily Rachel was falling in love with frankie(?) i forget his name. Like girl focus! But it was intensely slow and felt so gen-z in the beginning which is something. I hate that ya thrillers are so slow in the beginning. But it was so good, I didn't expect that plot twist at all. At all.
I can't forgive them for killing her friend. But I do wish that the club was isolated to the city or the school. this book was so good. So dark. I need more😭😭

I imagine that this book is catharsis in some aspects so I don't really have much to say, however I wish this was a movie. I really liked it

Chani is a real one, this book was for all the girls who wholeheartedly believe that their celebrity crush would fall in love with them if they met. At first I upset that they didn't get together when they first met but I guess the whole point was to prove their yearning for each other. Normal people if the people were actually normal.

I cannot forgive the book for ending like that. So matter of fact and so, I told you so. I wanted more. So much more. I could not stop reading, this was so intriguing, a real page turner. this was so so fantastic I love how everyone was so wrong but it was so hard to see everyone gaslight blythe. Violet, when I catch you and Fox, it's over. Why is it so hard to believe mothers ?

Well I did it. I finished the book a grown man wrote constantly emphasizing the details and size of middle school breasts.
To me, this was like diary of a wimpy kid. Not necessarily because of the writing but . . . the vibe. I forced myself to finish it and was it worthwhile. No.
3.5 because I was happy Craig sorted it out.
Edit; a vibe like 2000s male adolescent + manic pixie dream girl .. idk it just felt like America
