Thank you @netgalley and @randomhouse for the Advanced Reader Copy. All opinions are my own.
"People either come into your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime." is a great mantra for this book!
Davey, an American interviewing over the phone for a job in London, misdials Hannah, a Londoner, instead of the company. A chance phone call turns into flirtatious conversations over the next couple weeks. As Hannah and Davey get set to meet in person, Davey receives terrible news, instantly preventing their meet up, and causing Davey to end their conversations. Yet, neither can get the other out of their heads.
This one was definitely hard to put down towards the end, and should definitely be made into a movie! There were so many times I could feel the suspense, the buildup, the excitement, and could hear the appropriate music in my head as I was reading it! The beginning was a little all over the place, which made it hard to get into at first, but I'm so glad I stuck with it! The beginning also had Love is Blind vibes🥰 I loved all the protagonists, especially the supporting characters of Jane and Grant, and the character development in the antagonists was so on-point Most people have probably dealt with these kinds of people in their lives too.
As always, make sure you read the author's notes, as this book brings to light an important medical screening.
Have you ever misdialed someone, or been the receiver of a misdial?
