gross! glad i started with this one for my intro to junji ito since i’ve heard his other stuff is even more disturbing. i’m a horror girlie but i really don’t think i could do any more body horror from him… like this specific niche of body horror manga i think is just NOT meant for me lol. incredible art, visionary concept, even some intriguing themes about humanity/intimacy/free will/nature… i just didn’t really enjoy it hahaha

god it makes me so sad i didn’t like this. tj klune is a favorite author and cerulean sea is an all-time favorite book :’) there are a lot of things i could say about this sequel but ultimately it just did not work for me. could have done without.
