Breakaway by Heather M. Orgeron
Look, it wasn't bad, maybe it just wasn't for me.
I would give a 2.5 out of 5, not necessarily bad, but definitely not great.

I think that most of the time this book is cute, but certain behaviors from most characters are unrealistic, and kinda cheesy.
How she always talked about Zane... idk, a little weird to say those thing about someone she didn't know, and be so sure of her assumptions, taking them as the truth; for example, that he was "her mom's person" (she kept using that expression, over and over, and tbh, after the first one, I started getting the ick, it sounds so weird), or that he had "darkness in him" (I don't remember how she said it exactly, but it sounded odd, and dramatic), how fast she accepted him, and not only that but he was practically a part their family. Maybe I'm being a pessimist, but it sounds unrealistic to me, I think that kind of thing it's a whole process and it takes time.
But what's more unrealistic is Killian, 'cause yeah, you come, tell me he was a player, a bad boy, and so on, but as soon as Lexie appears he is fully committed to her, lives for her, says a bunch of corny stuff, and you don't consider that a red flag??? Look, I get it, it would be nice to have someone say pretty words, have deep, honest, and extremely romantic feelings for you, and that it was fast, but it doesn't happen like that, and it just doesn't make sense, he was acting like that out of nowhere, and although I do believe that people are capable of being like that, it doesn't happen without a reason, some history, which they didn't have, not really.
Anyways, asides from everything I just wrote, it's not bad, it's an entertaining story.
