I don't know what's going on but at least it's entertaining 😂

I can't stand the writing style! It's so overly written I'm having a hard time understanding anything. We're thrown right into the action with zero explanations! And even when things were explained it was still confusing! There's weird terms like aetherspace, lightweave and shadowforged and I have no idea what they're talking about. It's very frustrating!

Wow, this book really had it all! It's an 1800s historical rom-com with a crime twist. Although, I was confused at first because there were so many characters once we got acquainted with everyone it was great! The banter was fun, the mystery was intriguing and I loved the romance!

This is the first book I've read by Robin Hobb, and I'm happy to report that I loved it! It was beautifully written, and the politics, world-building, and magic system were fascinating! I'm looking forward to reading more!

I wasn't sure about this book at first but ended up enjoying it! I liked the relationship between the sisters and the world-building was interesting. However, some parts of this book could have been more developed and the science was hard to believe. The ending had some loose ends and was very bittersweet, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

This was your average historical romance novel. The start could have been stronger, but I did come to like August and Evan's relationship by the end.

This was a very confusing and exhausting read! It wasn't as engaging as I thought it would be. I found Talon's chapters interesting but didn't care much for Kihrin's. The last section was so convoluted that I didn't even know what I was reading anymore.

The writing wasn't bad, and the dragon shapeshifting was interesting but I didn't like how lacklustre and insta-love the romance was. That Will just happens to go to that high school is too outrageous of a coincidence. I thought Cassian was interesting if only he had been in the book more. Honestly, this book would have been a lot better if it had focused more on the draki.

I didn't like how overly descriptive the writing was. My eyes kept glazing over. I also hated the character names!

I picked this book up because I thought the title sounded cool and I was not disappointed! This was such an emotional read! The fact that the book was narrated by a ghost who was watching over the main character was so unique! Though, this narrative style was a bit confusing at first and did take some getting used to. I loved the characters and their stories. I really felt their pain and anger.

I highly recommend this if you're a fan of historical fiction and want a book that'll make you cry.
