The ending was such a let down. Nothing came back around and the elements of the ending were never foreshadowed throughout the book. The main character didn't seem to develop all that much. Characters felt flat. The "mysteries" of the other wives were predictable and yet the main character felt shocked by them. It felt like the author was spoon-feeding me instead of allowing me to make the connections on my own. It was such an interesting premise, what a shame.

Too slow paced. Nothing was happening and I didn't care enough about the characters to stay invested.

It was a wonderful book to listen to every morning as I got ready. I liked the characters and I thought there development was wonderful. I also just really liked the setting. It felt cozy. It wasn't the most gripping novel I've ever read, but I'm glad to have read it.
