Night by Elie Wiesel
5.0
If there is any memoir that should be read, it is this one. To say it was sad would be an understatement and, frankly, disrespectful. Of course it’s sad. It’s devastating and heartbreaking and incredibly tragic but also eye-opening in the rawest sense. Despite this, I do not love this book; no one should. It isn’t something that can be loved because of the incredible hopelessness it instills. Yet, I have never read something so powerful or will I ever. Night is raw, uncensored pain and loss. There are truly no words to do this book justice. It is just something that has to be experienced.
