The writing is still a bit wattpad-y but compared to the first book, I think this is better. Or I just got used to it by now. Anyway, the first half felt boring for me and I wasn't really convinced of their chemistry. But I did see it near the end. I still think that there ahould be more build up in their relationship because it was a but rushed for my liking.

The story is entertaining since I def felt a lot of mixed emotions while reading. I'm excited also to read the rest of the series! Curious to see who Dante will be paired with now.

Not my favorite MMF book (or novella) but some scenes had me giggling and that's good. I hated the lying thing and I think that deserves a bigass grovelling from the both of them but I do like that we have a curvy FMC.

I loved the illustrations in this book!! I was looking forward to seeing it in almost every chapter. The writing also felt a bit of wattpad vibes and those illustrations made it tolerable.

I thought I'll find Aida a bit annoying but she was actually the more badass than Callum. What I didn't like was the fact that they fell in love that fast. I was looking forward to some build up in their relationship. They literally hated each other at first and I want to see them fall in love and all. There are moments where I found their chemistry a bit lacking too but I liked those handful of cute moments they have together.

Also they lacked communication too! A bit annoying because Callum keeps getting jealous over nothing. If he only talked to her though.

But anyway. I still enjoyed reading this book and excited to see more illustrations in the next book.

BECKETT PORTER. That's it. That's my review.

Kidding aside. I enjoyed reading this book especially after the slow burn thing. I fell in love with Beckett too and I really felt what he was feeling when Evie came back from the interview. I mean, she left him twice now so what does she expect him to react? I hated how the miscommunication thing could've been prevented if only Evie told him her plans and everything. Like c'mon, give our man some reassurance! But anyway, their story is so sweet. Or Beckett is. And I just love how Beckett found his happy too. Hoping to see more of him (and his pet animals) in the next book!

(Also, yes, this review is all about Beckett. Sorry Evie.)

I felt like reading spicy age gap novellas to end the year and this one has it all and then some. I loved the chapter titles! Lake and Ford are just so cute and hot together. I mean, Ford is just so caring and really pays attention. Ugh, I want more of them.

A cute and fast read! I liked the one night stand turned into so much more thing. It's a bit of insta lust/love but it doesn't seem like it for me. I enjoyed reading this that I wish there was more!

This family is so creepy and messed up and it stressed the hell out of me. I feel like I need more of their background stories. I already finished the book and yet I feel like I don't know the characters that much. And a bit funny because Dahlia didn't know her family too. I'm expecting something more and okay as much as I loved reading murder mysteries or mystery thrillers, this one isn't for me.

Anyone who is close to me knows that I love listening to true crime podcasts and that's probably why a friend recommended this book to me. I enjoyed reading this so much that it had me at the edge of my seat. It's not a book to read during Christmas because I had this urge to finish this book than celebrate with my family. I literally had to keep my kindle away from me. It is THAT good and the title is just perfect. I'm still not sure how I felt after reading this but I'm mostly shouting “what the fck” to almost every chapter. So maybe that phrase is enought for a review? Also, I def don't believe that epilogue.

I thought I'm fine with miscommunication trope but this book proved me otherwise. It even is a slow burn romance and I just want them to confess their feelings and just be with each other!! Anyway, the plot is interesting even if it annoyed me because I wish we can see Drake go down and all that. I also loved the chapter titles and the dual POVs.

It took me awhile to finish this novella. And it should be a quick read but I struggled to finish this that I had to convince myself not to DNF.

I can't connect to any of the characters and I feel like Hailey is always crying in almost every chapter. It also felt like this was written for YA audiences even though the characters are almost or in their mid-20s already.

I think it would've been better if there are more background stories with her stepfather. His death will have an even more impact if so. Her narcissistic father is also so random and weird? And her relationship with Eric too. One minute she's trauma dumping the next they have a “connection”. Please. Everything just fell forced and flat.
