Nature Fairies by Victoria Liiv

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ll start with what didn’t work for me, because I want to leave off with what did work because in the end, I enjoyed the book and want to continue the series.
The bad: The editing. Honestly, I think it could have done with another round or two of edits. Small things such as spelling mistakes removed and fixing up odd turns of phrase which would have made the writing flow a lot better.
The insta-love between the two main characters. I am not personally a fan of instant attraction and ‘love at first sight’ storylines so the romance in this rang quite hollow for me which ruined for me what is quite a big part of the story. It could well be a part of the world building that this is just how it is with ‘mates’ - a quick and intense thing but I enjoy a slow burn much more so this could well be just a ‘me problem’.
The good: The world building. I love the way Liiv builds and describes her worlds as well as the way her characters fit in and interact with the world. I want to learn and read more about Belfea and the different courts.
The characters. I love many of the characters in this world and the way they interacted. Karmuth was a clear favourite for me but that could be because I have read Fairies of Death as well.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and I will be continuing with the series and other books set in Belfea.
