♡ ARC REVIEW ♡

first off i want to say thank you to the amazing author J.R Dust to allow me to partake in being an ARC reader for her book. it was definitely something i want to do again. i will say there are some grammatical errors but that’s okay i understood what the author was saying, and that’s also what reviews and feedback is for!

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎

the cover is what attracted me to this book, it’s very cute. i didn’t realize this was part of a series until i looked it up on goodreads. i think it’s a stand-alone book that’s in a series. i am not used to third person POV though, it was different but i am willing to read more books in third person now. i do wish there could’ve been more background on the characters. the transitions between iris’ and eli’s POVs didn’t flow well, it just felt rushed and some things confused me. overall this book was good and it had a good plot. i just wanted more. also i do like found family glad they found the family that they needed.

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎

thank you again to netgalley, briar boleyn, and starwater press for sending me this arc for free in exchange for an honest review! please check trigger warnings before you read!

court of claws picks up where queen of roses left off. i loved this book a little more than the first one! this book was a slow burn book, i don’t usually like slow burns but this was worth it. there was more romance, drama, and action as you read more. this book did keep me on the edge of my seat because of so many twists and turns.

the only thing that made me a little upset was that there was so much miscommunication and secrets between kairos and morgan’s relationship, but after reading why i understood a lot better.

also it ended on a freaking cliffhanger! definitely recommend and a must read for fantasy lovers.

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎

thank you inkyard press, gabriella lepore and netgalley for this arc for free in exchange for an honest review.

i was in a reading slump and this book caught my eye and got me out of it. this book definitely gave off pretty little liars vibes. i liked that we got first person pov in multiple povs. the flashbacks were a bit much and had me a little confused but it added to the plot. the police interviews were a nice touch. i was definitely second guessing myself on who i thought may have done it. i didn’t trust anyone, not even paul. it was an enjoyable easy read that keeps you guessing and wanting more.

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎

thank you to netgalley, delacorte press, and laura steven for this arc for free in exchange for an honest review.

i have never read a retelling of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde. the author did a good job of setting the scene for it though. the pacing was a bit off because some chapters seemed like it was building up to an amazing event but when it actually came it didn’t feel as good as the buildup. however, i liked how she gave a backstory of the school and dove right in to the main characters flaws. overall the book was good, it did take me a little to start reading it and actually get into it. i do recommend if you like quick, dark academia books with some teen drama.
