New favorite author unlocked. I am literally OBSESSED with J. Roses’ writing. This is book ONE in the Harrowdean Manor series and it was amazing. You get some incredible enemies to lovers action here and some top notch banter between our characters. Rose brings us a dark and tense atmosphere that is at the same time emotional if you know what I mean. I loved all of the characters in this one and thought they were very flawed but not complicated….perfect.

Our FMC is kicka$$ and I absolutely LOVED HER but at the same time I enjoyed all of them. Ripley, Lennox and Xanders story was unbelievable and this whole book will leave you turning pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next and how this will end. The way this book leaves you hanging off the cliff though…brace yourself to prepare for book 2! I will give this one all of my stars easily

This is book 2 in the King of Ruin series and it starts right where the first ended. Please read book 1 before heading off into this one. Illicit Obsession was dark and delicious.

I love Julia's writing style and the way she writes bringing the characters right off the paper. This was just as good as the first book. We get to venture off with Massimo 88 Evelyn. I love their relationship love/lust, steamfest through this book. When you want a man who will go to legnths to protect you Massimo is your man.

Book 3 cannot be here soon enough because the way this book left me needing more is REAL!

The Family Experiment by John Marrs

John Marrs never disappoints! This book was SO GOOD! Give me all the dystopian reads and make it a fast paced thriller. Better yet—-give me a book about a reality show contest where you raise AI (meta) babies…sheeeesh! We have multiple POV, twists, turns & an ending you’ll never see coming. This book was a literal trip for me that I had to pay attention to, follow along—never got lost but definitely kept me on my toes and my mind racing around 😮‍💨. An absolute must read!

I was craving a psychological horror read and this served it right up. For starters, this cover is perfection…the book was such a great read! This is going to grab you straight away from page one all the way to the last page taking you through different timelines, multiple POV and all the haunted house vibes you could want. I have been OBSESSED with reading haunted house reads so this was perfect! I’m not going to give away the goods within this book but this is a must read if you love a good haunted house read that oozes Hill House vibes!

I thoroughly enjoyed this slow burn of a murder mystery type thriller! We have multiple POV and very character driven. Each of the character in this book were in it for a reason and brought something into this book. The twists and turns this book has is unreal as we unravel the truth behind remains that are found next to the family vacation home. The finger is pointed in all directions. This book will have you on your edge trying to figure out before the last page. The ending…so good! I can’t wait for more to come out by Maia Chance!!!

Want a medium paced book that involves ghost hunters trying to find a ghost that’s haunting the grounds of an apple farm 👀 👻…but that’s ALLL they want these ghost hunters to catch onto 😂 look no further. Our author gives us a cozy witchy read with a magical feel to it. I was so happy to have been given the opportunity to read this light hearted read that gave me practical magic meets ghost adventures vibes🤭.

This is book THREE of the Witchlore series and absolutely one of my favorite witchy series’. I ate this one up just as I had the first two. I absolutely recommend reading the first two to catch up and understand book 3.  We have magic, a small town & some politics with the covens. The character development and world building in this is🤌🏼 and I just absolutely adored Ellowyn and Zander.

This book we trail along Ellowyn as she pieces apart the history within her family and along the way finds that her own magic is stronger than she ever thought. Is she a threat….you’re about to find out. I cannot wait for more! I absolutely love Becks writing and always look forward to her new releases.

I thought this was a great fast paced read with good dark humor and a wild ride! I love that we had a very well written storyline that kept your attention and interest and left you trying to figure things out along the way. 

I felt as though the characters were well developed…all like able—no, did I like a lot of the characters yes 🤣. Dual timelines are my favorite and this had just that as well. Overall a really good who-did-it serial killer vibe thriller vibe read that gives you laughs and plenty of side eye 😂. Put this fun read on your TBR today!

I enjoyed this page turner. Mystery, horror, gore….say no more. As we all know…I don’t read synopsis often OR reviews EVER so I of course went in blind going off cover only. I loved the horror aspects within this book and this literally fed me Tales From The Crypt bones (ahem…the cover looked like his side profile btw)…anyways, this book gives dual timelines and multiple POV and I enjoyed the fact that you don’t get lost and it flows smoothly through the entirety of the book.

I love all the details our author gives and up until the very end you’re are putting together this entire story it’s complete. I loved this from cover to cover. If you are triggered by anything, please check these warnings beforehand. For a debut novel by our author, I can say that I anticipate her next release. Fantastic job!
