similar to the hunger games and divergent series - packed with action and violence.
i did find myself wishing for a little more information (much like the central character) at times but that being said, with all the questions and trauma i kept reading.

If you liked the Hunger Games, you'll like this one. Good story.
That being said - I felt frustrated at the lack of character development re the central character Tris. As a result, I didn't connect with her the way I did with Katniss. I did buy the second book though so it couldn't have been that bad.
