Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Book was very bland and typical "white girl with eating disorder" story.
The characters are unrealistic/unrelatable, i don't know if it was supposed to be satire on the "LA is rich snobs" stereotype, the author thinks this is how people act, or this is how rich people actually do act and I don't know because I'm not rich. If it is the latter then this book definitely probably has its niche.
The worst of all was the horror monster aspect, the slug. Very bland with not much description to go with it, I was imagining it as the alien from the D*sney movie "Can of Worms" . You can make slug creatures creepy but the author giving us the description of the monster from the get go and knowing why shes seeing it takes all mystic and horror away. A huge part of horror is the fear of the unknown, and you could tell where it was going to go from a mile away.
Couldn't finish which is sad since i head my good things about this book.
