The magic system was interesting.
The different Londons was a cool concept.
I liked the characters. Wish there was more of Rhys.
Lots of action, excitement, and death.
Looking forward to the next one.

I don’t really know what to say haha.
It was okay? Very cliched. Main character is a bit of a Mary Sue. The end was dumb.

Not sure if I can struggle thru the rest of this series no matter how much my sister wants me too.

I love some parts. Hated others.
Like the other 2 books, it had some slow parts which I don’t mind.
So much happened tho.
I don’t know how I thought it would end, but I am sad it’s over.

The narrator for the audiobook was good.

The love story was cute, if a little predictable. Some of the book was cringey. Overall, I liked it.

I read this because my little sister asked me too.

So, I don’t even know where to begin. I liked some of it, but it was just repetitive. Also I feel it could have been better. You could see a lot of things coming. Also the main character, Grace, is pretty dumb. Like girl please listen to your instincts.

Also the word mate is just gross.

I will prob read the next book cause of my sister, haha.

So I really enjoyed parts of this book. Other parts I found extremely dull.

The summary doesn’t really describe the book.

I love short chapters so that was nice.

Overall I was left wanting more. More description, more lore, more character development.

Once again a slow start. Actually slower than the first book. But once it’s picks up, it’s hard to put down.

Love the characters. Seeing them grow from the last book was great. Hilo in particular grew a lot. Anden is still my favorite. Wen is lovely. I always love multiple POVs and glad we got to see so many, even minor characters.

On to the next!

It’s hard for me to write reviews for books I enjoy. It’s much easier to write reviews for books I don’t like haha.

I absolutely hated this book.

- Victim blaming galore. Also the stupid sentiment that all children that were sexually abused grow up to be pedophiles? Disgusting and so inaccurate and insulting.
- It was pretty racist. Like the author was trying to state the character was racist, but something felt off and the book itself has a whole lotta racism in it.
- The writing style is not for me. The author is trying to hard to be smart and make the reader think. Also character POV changes with a new page break?? It doesn’t work and is distracting.
- The killer is not surprising.
- Video games = bad. The fact the cops think the killers are killers because they see it in video games? So dumb.
- 2 sex scenes in this book. At the beginning and the end. Both time the wife starts it after finding out their husband committed crime. So gross.
- Speaking of the woman characters…. They had no agency of their own. Just an of the male characters. Just tells me the author can’t write women.
- The cops…. ugh. Putting them on a pedestal as the “good guys” and basically can do no wrong. One of the main characters has an 80% silver murder rate. Yeah, i’m not buying it.
- The epilogue was not needed. No one cares what these characters are doing after.

So yeah. I def do not recommend this book.

I didn’t like it as much as the first, but I can’t pinpoint why.

Going to hell was really well done. That whole decent chapter was amazing.

I want more though and eagerly await the next.
