I really enjoyed this but it’s such a different take on fantasy that I find myself at a loss for how to describe it other than to say you should read it if you enjoy fantasy.

Fyrebirds by Kate J. Armstrong

Fyrebirds is the sequel to Nightbirds and the story is beautiful. It doesn’t have quite the same captivating power as Nightbirds but it is still a wonderful read and I will be watching out for future Kate J Armstrong works in the future.

Dark academia paranormal slow burn spicy romance. The FMC is a college student and makes choices like someone in that typical age range. The MMC is a little older, more experienced, and a TA. The vibes are vibing. If you want literary perfection don’t look here. If you want a good time quick read with banter, action, and turmoil this will be a win.

Zero spice. All romance and living authentically you even when it’s hard. This one hits hard with topics of competeting for promotion and posible divorce. It’s a slower paced story but if you’re chasing feelings this one is amazing.
