”He told me once that sometimes, with some people, it's not about winning or losing, That with some people, it's just about playing. Though for the longest time, I didn't really believe him.”

I think I am a bit disappointed. I definitely expected more.

I always considered myself a fantasy reader (one that reads a contemporary romance once in a blue moon), but I always liked Ali’s works – both The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain, so I had high hopes for this one.

I’ve been thinking it over, but I can’t really wrap my mind around what exactly is my problem with it.
It was sweet, cringe in that too-much-of-Ali’s-modern-references, but it just didn’t…. click?
I do have to say, I love Nolan. I think he is my favourite love interest of her, however I couldn’t really connect that much with Mallory. The miscommunication and 3rd act breakup really are not on my thing, and I feel like it was not resolved properly.

Also, I’ve got to say – the line between YA and Adult was a bit blurred for me. I think I would’ve preferred if it either:
a) stopped mentioning sex that much
b) go all out and put a smut scene
This way it was just awkward.
