Beautiful small book from Murgia that through the old folk tradition of the accabadora and the fillus d'anima from the lives of the past in rural Sardinia is able to raise important issues concerning the value of life and dignity, ethics of euthanasia, the importance of family beyond blood relations, social inequalities and education. The book shows that these issues which often are thought of as a product of modern societies, are instead age old and living in lost traditions.
