i loved this book, it was nice to see lesbians especially in the 50/60s era, very realistic with the challenges they faced and their romance was perfect. Evelyn and Cecilia deserved all the love in the world. </3

This has got to be my favourite book in the entire world, i adore this book so much, i loved the writing and especially the romance between Crier and Ayla. It was a slow burn with amazing fantasy aspects to it and is very other - worldly. (would definitely reccomend the 2nd book, ‘iron heart’!)
