The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

This, I must say, is one of the unpredictable book I've read so far!
It is so moving and life changing.It made me realize a lot of things, made me realize that no life is wasted and that each and everything has a reason for happening. Each person who you've met or crossed paths with, have a role in your life. No matter how long or short the times you've spent with them.
The five people Eddie met in heaven not only changed Eddie's life, but the life of its readers. I, in some ways, really saluted Mitch Albom more for this book. I never thought it'd give me this feeling..
The Blue Man's story was just so terrifying yet it made me smile at the end because he managed to be happy and content with his life. The Captain's story made me realize that sacrifices aren't only for the people we sacrifice for, but for ourselves as well because we gain something from it. Ruby's story somehow shocked me and made me realize that friendship is greater than anything and that forgiveness is always the key for peacefulness. Marguerite's story made me smile and realize that people die, but love doesn't. You may not see that person anymore but love remains forever.
And Tala. Tala's story just filled up the missing pieces in the story. She made me realize that we are all different strangers yet all of us are interconnected.

This is the first historical book I have ever read, as it was a book our teacher asked us to make a book report about back when I was in high school. At first, I thought that I wouldn't be interested in reading it since I'm not really into reading these types of books. And I just found myself loving every page of the book!:)

I honestly don’t know where to start with my review of this book. Once again, a graphic novel has turned my whole world upside down (in a good way, though). Whenever I read a graphic novel these days, most of them really fascinate me in a way that I can’t really muster into words and it makes me wonder why I haven’t been into them when I was a kid. But as I always say, there is a time for everything and nothing is ever too late.
East of West, I thought, wasn’t really my kinda story. I rarely read books that are politically connected or sorts, but this book, though, has been a really good start for me. It talks about not only politics but love and death and everything else in between. The art is very good, to the point that it made me adore the characters even more. This book may start out to be a little bit confusing but will definitely pick up the pace and will make you crave for more. This book is certainly unlike any other, the creativity in the art and the story itself was fascinatingly incredible in so many ways!
Honestly, I don’t know how I would be able to write a review about this book without spoiling any parts of the book for all of you and so I am very cautious upon writing this post. I am also cautious that I haven’t given the entirety of the book that is very wonderful its justice because I cannot muster into words how beautifully written and drawn this novel is. With that, I am hoping that this review would make you read it for yourself to judge.
