yeah no this just was not it. i’m not even gonna bother with the next one in the series, this well and truely confirmed tessa bailey had one good book and the rest have been horrible

i actually really enjoyed this, i read so many negative reviews and people on tiktok calling it boring and thought oh it’s just gonna be one of those books that is just so hyped up with nothing happening but it was actually fun. 

i’m a sucker for fake dating and a more slowburn romance and this ticked those, i loved aaron and if anything catalina was the annoying one outta the two. as for the plot it had its boring moments but overall it was fine

say what you want about how this “isn’t necessarily” that it’s boring or mid but i LOVED THIS. the hunger games world is so interesting and seeing what it was like before katniss was such an experience. i can’t wait to watch the movie

i genuinely don’t think i’ll be giving a single book in this series lower then 5 stars because they’re so ADDICTING. she has a podcast and a new mystery to solve and it was just as good and honestly almost better then the first one.

i listened to the audiobook for parts of this as well and it was SOOOO good with the tape sounds and microphones, it added so much to the experience of reading it. i highly recommend

i gotta be honest this whole series kinda sucked… the first book was the only enjoyable one for me. i did only read this because i really wanted to read six of crows and i felt like i had to read this series first but i kinda wish i just didn’t, all that happened and then it ends like that
