Did not finish book. Stopped at 2%.
I'm sorry but I can't. I know this book has great hype but it is sooooo slow and so over descriptive. I'll probably try later when I'm in a different mood.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't love it and really thought I was going too because Lucian is my favorite.

I don't know, I felt their emotional connection but not that much chemistry. They just felt like really good friends to me.

Still, the story is good and heartfelt. And they do have some good sexy moments.

I'm also not in the best headspace for romance stories so that probably didn't help.

Loved the bonus epilogue, I'm a sucker for those. And I did shed some tears if you're looking for that.

Lucy Score really knows how to write a complete romance. It's sexy, emotional and really, really tense. I was biting my nails for that last quarter.

I loved Lina, she's fierce and takes no one's bullshit. And Nash's vulnerability and darkness was portrayed so well. I enjoyed how their relationship developed, their resistance to the obvious pull was a delicious read.

At first I was like meh but they grew on me, specially Khent, he seems adorable.

I wish we had some of his insight, that would've been cute.

It was alright, better than the movie (which I saw first) for sure. They changed so much and I don't get why, they took most of the chemistry and connection out of it. So sad.

Look, I'm a sucker for any obnoxious grump who's secretly a romantic so I'm all for Josh.

Lucy, what's up girl? I thought you were supposed to be smart! I mean the moment he makes a move on you gotta know why, right?! Like it seemed so obvious to me.

It's a cute story but I wasn't a big fan of the writing, I almost gave up after the first 10 pages, I was bored to death with those descriptions. And like Lucy harshly "hates" Josh because he's mean but I don't think we actually see an example of that.

The love scenes were also meh for me, I don't need it to be mega explicit or anything but I wasn't a fan of the ambiguous descriptions. I would read a paragraph and then realize, oh! They're having sex! I think you can be sensual and not explicit about it without being confusing.

Anyway, now I can say I read it.

In the words of Lachlan, Feckin' Christ Jesus!

First things first, the audiobook? So worth it, listen to it right now!

My god! I was not expecting that much tension! (Not sexual tension I mean, that I was expecting a lot) I was on edge for the last chapters just waiting for the shoe to drop.

I just... Wow! The spicy scenes are so good (specially the 2nd epilogue, I might have to re-read that a lot hehe) Lachlan and Lark have incredible chemistry, they just match so well.

The way Lachlan gets Lark so deeply that he manages to make her the weirdest but most romantic gestures it's just chefs kiss adorable. He really makes an effort to get to know her and earn her forgiveness.

These brothers really know how to get the psycho girl and I respect that.

Waiting for Fionn and Rose's book will be torture!

Also, aunt Ethel, you will be heavily missed, what a menace of a woman. Can we have like a prequel of her? I bet she got into some crazy shit, that hoot.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed after the hype I've heard.

I think Rae might be the most moronic FMC character I've ever read, I couldn't stand her!! The whole time I kept literally yelling at the kindle to just fucking sacrifice her already. "Oh look, demons exist! And he's telling me I'm in danger, mmm... Surely he's lying because this girl invited me for coffee, she can't be evil!" (God, I hated her so much)
Her personality is so bland too, everyone's personalities felt unfulfilling to me actually. Like unnatural or fake somehow.

If anything, the demons are interesting, although they're not "demony" at all. (Except Callum, he reads scary. But he's and Archdemon).

I wish Leon had a bit more darkness, he feels too fluffy for my taste in a dark romance. Maybe I'm just jaded now hahaha

That piercing scene though... WOW! Erotic as fuck! I wasn't expecting that. Kudos to Harley.

I'm still reading the next 2 books, btw. Just please no more fucking Rae, I hope Juniper and Everly are not that frustratingly stupid.

It's very different from Ali's other books, less rom-com and a bit more drama and lots of sex.

I loved their sexual interactions, how different it is from most books. The main focus on not PIV at the beginning it's really nice, specially with Eli enjoying it so much. I enjoyed the portrayal of communication and consent in their sexual interactions.

I loved their emotional journey and character growth, it felt very real to me. I related to both Eli and Rue a lot. I have a lot of trust issues.

Eli is of course a mythical creature, as are all men written by a woman and once again I'm ruined for real life.

This book has everything—it's hot, funny, dramatic, tense, and romantic. It’s not just a fluffy romance; it actually has some stakes. The characters are a delightful mix of funny, witty, wise, and sweet. They’re accountable and show significant growth, which is refreshing.

As an eldest daughter lugging around a suitcase full of expectations, Naomi's struggles hit close to home. And Knox? Oh boy, I fell hard. This fictional man is ruining my expectations of real-life partners. Seriously, my marriage might be in danger. Not only is Knox incredibly hot and unknowingly sweet, but he's also a humble and generous millionaire—a rare unicorn in the romance genre.

Naomi is smart, gorgeous, and incredibly kind, even when life decides to throw lemons at her without offering any sugar for lemonade. Her relationship with Waylay is pure gold and so heartwarming it could melt the iciest of hearts. I never thought I’d cry at a preteen football match, but those tears hit me like a rogue soccer ball to the face—unexpected and surprisingly moving.

The book even packs in some action! The friends are a riot, the whole town is lovely, giving off serious Stars Hollow vibes, but with a touch more edge—just enough to keep things interesting.

This is my first Lucy Score book, and I’m officially hooked. Looks like I’ve got a new favorite author, and my reading list just got a lot longer.
