This one had me as gripped as the first book - I struggled to put it down and do my uni work. The ending was particularly gripping and I’m left feeling even more invested in Peter’s life. Also Beverly is back and as she’s one of my favourite characters I can’t help hoping there’s more of her to come.

My only complaint with this book is I wish there was more to read which - seeing as it’s a novella - is not really a complaint but just a sign I really enjoy this series

I loved this book - potentially my favourite from the series although that could be down to my love of Beverly Brook and Peter being together. Either way it’s definitely keeping my hooked on the series.

I think I enjoyed this one more than volume 1. I really liked the way it linked to the overall series more with Lesley’s presence

I really enjoyed this one, I love how it involves the characters we've met at various different points throughout the series.

I enjoyed this but felt it didn’t link to the books as much as others have - plus I’m still angry at Lesley so her presence frustrates me

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one to come out. I will no doubt reread or listen to the whole series again very soon because I really haven’t had enough of Peter Grant’s world yet and am not looking forward to letting it go.

So I started this book after reading a lot of young adult fiction and as such it took a few chapters to get into the writing style however once I was into it I didn’t want to put it down.

This book made me feel understood - it put into words the feelings I have never been able to properly describe to people. And reading how Matt Haig carried on and is still living now and finding pleasure in everyday things gave me hope for myself which is something I was finding very hard to come by. I’m just so thankful this book exists.
