Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The first page of the story starts with a good hook, that hooked the person right in. Right in the first chapter we are introduced to Nina and her brothers and sister. And of course the first thing we know is that Nina hosts a party each year where alot of famous people seem to come and meet, and also seems like the most popular one in Malibu.
At first I fell in love with June and Mick starting relationship, but what Mick did is unacceptable

With starting the first chapter I could easily tell that I was going to enjoy the book itself. The chapters are short, which does not remove you from the book itself, but it aslo seems that the chapters take you trough the main character life. I loved the character relationship with Wes and Iris. And how both of them in someway have a connected to her or in some level an understanding of how cruel their 'father' where to them.
Alto on a disappointed scale, I knew from the start that the story was going to focus in the bank and just go trough the character past. Which in truth I wanted more indepth of the story about the other con-characters she was. Alto it is explained in the story trough a somewhat past chapters but it did not feel well with me.
After thinking well the book itself will not be justified to be a 5 start in my option. I still feel that a chunk of the book was either left out. Like there are alot of empty gaps in it that still need to be filled but it will be added to my favrioutes reads. Cause I enjoyed it alot. But not worth a 5 stars
Qoute:
Some traits you can dye away and some names you can forge, but you can't hide from your true self and the lessons you learned in the dark of night.

It was not my plan to read this book this month but due that a there was a Buddy Read and I had to book, I just had to do it in the first place.
At first I knew I be starting the book not blind at all due that I had ages ago watched the whole show, and I am surprised that alot of it was not the same at all within the show then it is in the book itself. Which was enjoyable.
I did not like the Tyrion chapters, they felt dragging and some of the chapters where, but I knew for a fect that is to set the world building and the book pace itself, which I cannot wait to read the second book and the rest, but might take a bit of a rest. I don't want to read alot of 800+ books in one go.
Favrioute characters where:
Daenerys, Sansa, Arys, Jon Snow.
Least favrioute characters where:
Tyrion - I really did not enjoy his chapters at all.
Am I looking forwords to read the second book? In between a yes and a no, I know for a fact these books are going to be quite lenghty to read, but they will be enjoyable.

I have been waiting forever to read this Manga, ever since the anime came out, I have been on the look out for the first volume to show up in my local bookstore, and I am glad I found it, and even glad that they are adding more graphic novels and manga in the shelves . 2022 is the year for us readers!

The story itself was semi oki,
Not my fav, did not enjoy it for some reason.
Story really fast paced, the romance was quick and I was like eh? Whot?
Not worth a re-read to me.
Close to a 1 star. But gave it a 2 because I had read it trough.
