I didn't guess the ending, because it was just. so unbelievably twisty turny in a way that just took away from the story. I think it would have been more interesting if Maddy had a really big secret. I did enjoy the secrets revealed.

The author did not seem to trust us in making any connections, constantly re-explaining the same things over and over. Like 31 feet, channel six, Red has a dead mum.

I only finished this book upon request by my partner,
because as soon as found out she said "I hate you" and had an argument with her mom before she died. I was done with this book.

I am extremely disappointed, I hate all the characters so fucking much for different reasons. Oliver was one dimensional and would have enjoyed if he had more to his character than narcissism.
Arthur is definitely delulu and the fact that Red still looked at him favourably after him causing literally everything that happened. Oh don't get me started.

I understand she was obviously trying to make an adhd character with Red, but it was so cringy and took so much from the story it was unreal. You do not need to reiterate the curtains when you are about to die, why are you thinking about Phineas and Pherb when you are about to be thrown outside, and I get it you blame yourself for your moms death you dont need to say so 1000 times.

As someone with ADHD, this representation hurts.

I cannot say more than, wow. What a bomb. Thought the book was slipping but then the ending really pushed it back to stardom (Quite literally).
