I had so much hope for this book. I LOVED Wrong Place Wrong Time and eagerly anticipated this one!

I found myself bogged down by police acronyms/slang and British slang. I read paragraphs over and over to try to understand what was going on.

I just couldn’t get into it. It made my head hurt and I ended up skimming the last 40%.

I liked the premise and aspects of the book. I REALLY wanted to like the book, but whole sections of it didn’t hold my attention and it took me so long to read.

I think I would have been more engaged if the multiple POVs had been concurrent, rather than in six parts. I think the author could have held the mystery surrounding Drew and Joey, while also integrating their stories with Paris’.

Loved this one! The twists kept me guessing and I really had no idea what to believe. I really liked the ending!

I loved the beginning and was so intrigued by the chapters about the fire. The middle got really slow for me and I pushed through to get to the end.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
Not a fan of ghost stories and it felt like it was headed in that direction.

What began as a sweet story, got pretty intense as they travelled the treacherous terrain. I really liked Lily and Leo!

5+++++++!!!! Best book of the year? It’s definitely in my top 5!

The chokehold this book had on me. I never knew the whole story or who I could trust. Literal chills all the way through.

I loved the way the author dropped breadcrumbs without revealing too much — it made me NEED to keep reading.

I started at 1:55 pm and finished the book at 1:30 am (as close to a single sitting read as I can get).

I was absolutely enthralled with Belle’s story and really enjoyed this book. I especially liked the pace of the beginning, as she stepped into J.P. Morgan’s world. The last 25% dragged on for me.Â
